1) BIRTH CERTIFICATE
If you haven't already, be sure to contact vital records to obtain multiple copies of your live birth certificate. You'll need to take these copies to your state office to get an apostille - a stamp or certificate that confirms the authenticity of a public document—essential for travel to a non-Hague country.
Regardless of which process you choose to secure your Freedom, it is never a bad idea to have multiple copies of your LIVE BIRTH CERTIFICATE stored in a safe place for future needs.
2) FOIA REQUEST
Download the FOIA Citizenship Request template, and make it your own. Once the document is complete with your information you will then log on to the website linked below and complete your request.
The correspondence received back from the office will provide proof that you have no records in their system as a US Citizen. Allow 4-6 weeks for a response from the FOIA office.

3) COMPLETE AOR
